Today I went to the Whaling City Festival, a fair near my college. They had professional wrestling, which I used to love but haven't watched in years. It was fun, especially with the interesting crowd. I got to meet Spike Dudley, and I snapped this picture of Eric Alden after winning a match. He's a nice guy who was featured on MTV's True Life, and he's also a fan of my band, The Texas Chainsaw Mascara.

For the last full day in Florida, we went to a local park where I got this picture of a sunset over the lake and also went to another beach. It's been a great vacation; I only hope it doesn't take me fifteen years to get back down here.

Today we ventured back to Busch Gardens. Here's a shot I love of a lemur which I shot through the display glass. We also went to The Florida Aquarium, which was beautiful.

There are wild cranes all over the state, and here is one I found on top of a car at a pier. Today we visited the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, which was cool to see the memorabilia, as well as Tropicana Field.

We went to Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay. I'm not a big fan of amusement parks, but this one was fun. There are a lot of animal exhibits, and here's a picture of a couple of elephants canoodling. It started to rain so we left, but we'll probably go back.

I'm on vacation in Florida with my parents. The last time I was in The Sunshine State was when I was five, so it's nice to be back. It's really hot out, but I stopped by a beach and found this great collection of seashells covering the sand.

I went to see thrash legends Testament, and they put on a great show. Unearth and Lazarus AD opened the show, both of whom I interviewed. They were nice and both put on energetic performances. The rest of of my pictures can be seen here.

I unexpectedly ended up in Barnstable with my camera and nothing to do, so I headed to a local beach even though the weather wasn't ideal. This was the view from atop a staircase leading down to the shore. It was strange how the vegetation almost went right up to the water.

I went for a hike threw Massasoit State Park and ended up getting lost for a little bit. It was worth it, though, because I found this cool little area where the water was rising up on an old picnic table and got some good shots of it. It was also nice to clear my head in nature on such a beautiful day, though it did make my feel lonely.

The second day of NEMHF was just as good as the first. Here's a picture of headliners Lamb of God. I wasn't sure how the photos were coming out with no flash, but their set-up was so bright they actually came out better that way. What a fun weekend; just the escape I needed.

Today was the first day of New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. Thanks to Vince from Metal Blade Records, I got to shoot some promotional photos for some bands, plus I had a photo pass for the show. Here's a picture of Bison b.c. They were fun dudes, and I got some great shots of them being themselves. Day one was a success, and I'm excited for more tomorrow.

I got a new memory card and battery pack for my camera, so I went around my yard taking random pictures. Here's one of a lock that has been on my shed, as you can tell, for many years. It's not a particularly striking image, but I wanted something to put on here.

My mother's side of the family came over today to celebrate my birthday. It's crazy that I'm turning 20 next week. I love this picture of these delicious cookies my cousin made; it looks like it came from a cooking magazine.

I went into Boston with some friends tonight. We intended to go to a Lonely Island signing, but the line was ridiculously long, so instead we just walked around. It was my first time using my new camera at night in the city, but I got some good shots, like the one above of the Custom House Tower.

Finally, something different. This was an old, warped tree on a little beach cove in Onset. I got some nice shots of the typical scenery, but this tree stuck out more. It was too cold to be at the beach, but I'm glad I went.

Today, my father and I went out and bought our Christmas tree. We brought it home and decorated it with my mother while listening to Christmas songs.

I finally received my new camera, a Canon EOS 40D, and I love it. It was an early Christmas present from my parents, and I've been playing with it all night. Since I enjoy taking pictures, I decided to re-start my blog as a place to display some of my photos to put my camera to good use. I'm not sure how often it will get updated, but it's something to keep me busy over break.
